This hit hard.

Well, who am I kidding, the entire text did. But this line specifically. When someone knows us too well, it gets difficult to play an act and cover up the falling apart.

I love how your writing is both poetry and prose. There’s so much subtext and imagery in these, it’s easy to read them as a little story or a heartfelt poem. Loved this one.

Defragmenting is for optimists. For the ones who still believe their pieces belong together.

So no, defragmenting won’t save you.

But it might let you watch yourself come undone in the correct order.

And sometimes, that’s enough.
